Things are really cooking these days at Noodles & Company in Broomfield.

Besides moving its headquarters from Boulder to Broomfield in 2006, the company that specializes in pasta-based dishes is expanding rapidly. As of mid-2008, Noodles & Company had 181 restaurants nationally, and it was projecting 35 to 45 additional locations by the end of the year, including the Chicago, San Francisco and Charlotte, N.C., markets.

Approximately 100 people work at the Broomfield headquarters just off U.S. 287.
