Chamber 5K Off to a Running Start

The Chamber Challenge 5K has been a runaway success in its first two years.

The walk/run began in 2006 with the Metro North Chamber of Commerce wanting to do its part to promote fitness throughout the Metro Denver area. The event takes place each September at Thorncreek Golf Course in Thornton, with more than 200 walkers and runners in attendance. The Chamber also organizes a Corporate Challenge at the event, with more than 30 teams competing for prizes based on the fastest total team times.

North Suburban Medical Center is also involved in the Chamber Challenge 5K. Hospital officials are proud to point out that the Metro North region has one of the lowest obesity rates in the nation each year.
