Butterfly Pavilion Is Family-Friendly Attraction

The Butterfly Pavilion in Westminster is the nation’s first stand-alone nonprofit insect zoo.

Visitors can view as many as 1,200 free-flying butterflies living in a rainforest environment. In addition, 350 types of plants are represented, along with other insect species.

Interactive exhibits are geared toward families with children ages 2-12.

The Butterfly Pavilion, which opened in 1995, is a block away from the Westminster Promenade.
